Preface
The eSastera.com Prize (Hescom) was first held in 2003
for works published in the literary electronic magazine "esastera.com"
in 2002. Hescom 2003 offered two main awards, the Cyber Space Poets Award
(Main prize RM2003.00) and the Cyber Space Comic Poems Award (Main prize RM1000). Hescom 2003
was sponsored by Tan Sri Dato'
Dr. Chan Ah Chye of Talam Corporation.

eSastera.com Prize 2004 (Hescom 2004) is for honouring works published in the
e-magazine eSastera.com in 2003. The prize consists of the
following 7
categories:
1. Cyber Space Poets Award 2004 (Apas 2004)
2. Cyber Space Comic Poems Award 2004 (Asjas 2004)
3. Cyber Space Fiction (Short Stories and Drama Scripts) Award 2004 (Acas 2004)

Selecting the Winners
Winners for each category are picked based on three (3) choice works that are
published in the e-magazine in 2003.
Prizes
1. For Apas 2004: main prize is RM2004.00, a memento, and a certificate.
Other prizes will be announced later.
2. For Asjas 2004, Acas 2004, Anas 2004, and Asmi 2004: main prize is RM1000.00,
a memento, and a certificate. Other prizes will be announced later.
3. For Ahmas 2004 and Ahjas 2004: main prize is Yen2004,
a memento, and a certificate. Second prize: Yen1000, a memento, and a
certificate.
Third prize: Yen500, a memento, and a certificate. 5 consolation prizes, each Yen100,
a memento, and a certificate. (The organizer is looking for sponsorship of
additional prizes to accompany the Yen prize.)
Important Condition
A writer must display his complete bio-data in order to be considered.
Only writers who are still active in eSastera.com at the time of
evaluation are qualified to be considered for any award.

MULTIMEDIA/INTERACTIVE
POEM AWARD 2004
(ASMI 2004) 1.0 Preface
In early 2003, the magazine e-sastera.com
launched the eSastera.com Prize (HeS.com)
2004 with four categories of award, namely APAS 2004, ASJAS 2004, ACAS 2004,
and ANAS 2004. Thus ASMI 2004 is the fifth award for works published in 2003.
2.0 Objective
To encourage the development of Malay poems with multi-media and interactive
characteristics.
3.0 Rules
3.1 Open to poems published in the magazine e-sastera
in the "Penyair" Community and the "Sajak Jenaka (Sajen)"
Community.
3.2 Poems must possess multi-media characteristics (text, animation, and audio)
and/or interactive in nature.
3.3 Poems chosen to participate in ASMI 2004 will still be considered for
the awards APAS 2004 or ASJAS 2004 and can win both awards, if chosen.
4.0 Prizes
Cash prize of RM1,000 is offered, with the Winner getting RM600 and the
first Runner-up getting RM400.
5.0 Qualification
All poems published in the Community "Penyair" and "Sajen"
in 2003 are qualified to be considered provided that they fulfill the
conditions spelled-out in 3.2 above. The organizer will decide
whether or not the poems qualify. The authors need not do
anything with respect to this.
6.0 Judging
Winners will be picked based on three chosen works.

Space Comic Haiku Award 2004 (Ahjas 2004) is cancelled due to the small
number of comic haikus published. All haikus (including comic haikus) will be evaluated simultaneously for the Cyber Space Malay haiku Award 2004 (Ahmas 2004). |

The evaluation process
begins.
It is reminded that only ACTIVE members who provided
their full bio-data are considered. ACTIVE members are members who visited
the relevant community within 30 days before today (based on today because
the evaluation process begins today). Exception is given to members who has
contacted us to "apply for leave" due to unavoidable circumstances.
Members who published less that three writings for a particular category in
2003 will also be disqualified from being considered for the awards (because
the award for each category will be based on three writings). |
